Our Story
Lakeshore Body Shop is owned and operated by Mike Pappa—a master mechanic who has been a staple in the industry in Southwest Michigan for decades. Lakeshore Body Shop has been owned by the Pappa’s since 2000, but Mike has been in the building since 1978. He also owns and operates Dan’s Body Shop in Michigan City, Indiana, which came under his ownership in 1995.
In 2020, Mike acquired P&R Service & Towing—making Lakeshore Body Shop a dynamic one-stop auto body shop for virtually everything in, on, or around your personal or commercial vehicle.
The crew at Lakeshore Body Shop can handle everything from oil changes, alignments, heavy mechanical repair, and diesel engine work to body work. The shop houses five hydraulic hoists, two alignment hoists and two state-of –the-art spray booths. Body work and mechanical repair are housed under one roof and allow for seamless repair—start to finish.
The team at Lakeshore Body Shop has more than a dozen State certified mechanics and unibody collision repair technicians who undergo continuing education in the industry and are up-to-date with the latest mechanical and collision repair techniques.
You can find the Lakeshore Body Shop crew Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Towing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
